Hi Winken,
1. All applications to English universities must be done through an organisation called UCAS: http://www.ucas.ac.uk/. The website will give you guidance about applyig to universities and you may ask Lily Ma questions about this when she comes to Tsinghua to give you a presentation about UCAS. If you moved universities in the middle of your course, you would probably have to start the course again at your new university so, once you've enrolled, I wouldn't advise moving until the end of your course, unless you have a very good reason for doing so.
2. Make sure you understand the assessment methods of your academic department and that you know what kind of learner you are. Do not learn and recite what is written in the textbook, read the relevant information and use it to find out what the key issues are in your subject and decide where you stand on these issues.
